20050822 / A Moment

A Street / Monterey, CA

I wasn't inspired to do much more than stick my camera out the window at
this dude on a bike on the Cal State @ Monterey Bay campus today. So my
'official' PAD selection is here: some dude on a bike. I wasn't thrilled with it,
but eh... It's a photo a day and there is today's :).

The above image is from recent archives, image data intact for all you EXIF
junkies. She was walking alone at Farmer's Market on infamous 'A Street' in
Monterey; out buying herself flowers. I'll let you decipher her innermost
thoughts. I was pleased just to get less than ten feet from her with a long
lens and go about my business unnoticed.

___
While Pooch's Pops was first to guess I was in 'the loo' last 'SP Friday', DC was first to figure it was at Starbucks.
Congratulations, Dave. Head into any Glasgow or Edinburgh Starbucks and tell them
Chris sent you. You won't get a free coffee or anything, but you will get stared at.

First, let me congratulate you on a great candid without getting caught! ;) Love the pensive mood here as I see it. A fantastic capture in that there so much that can be derived from her expression. Is she just trying to decide which ones to buy? Or by her gaze, and the way she's grapsing her chain, has a particular flower triggered a recollection of someone from her past, flowers that a former love had always given her? Well, whatever it is, I love this image. And I really like the various shades of brown here as well.

Ditto on everything Jude Mc said. Really a heart rendering portrait.

Very nice Dof in this image. I like the expression on her face. I love how she touches her neckless ( I believe that is what she is touching) Very nice thoughtful expression, great shot.

"just what do I deserve today? Was I a roses kind of woman? Or just a carnation girl? Do I buy what I can afford? or do I buy what will make me smile every time I look at it"
I hope she left with the most expensive, beautiful bunch in the place..
Her expression makes me want to cry.. it's so thoughtful
You're a candid star, chris
