20050705 / Sweet Amber

Farmer's Market / Monterey, CA

Then she holds my hand
And I lie to get a smile
And when she squeezes tighter
I still lie to get a smile

Sweet Amber
How sweet are you?
How sweet does it get?

Excellent candid Chris. The color one is my preference. A very pleasing shot. Vote.

Sharp colors on the first one, Chris, but the second shot is very cool, too. Excellent candid.

The sepia & softness (diffuse?) of the second one really seems to fit the feel of the caption & lyric. (tho.. the glasses are amber too) Great candid expression in either case!

I like the color version.
Nice candid,Chris!

Gets my vote. I like both a lot. I have a lot more love for color lately for some reason.

nice candid snapshot chris.
great choice of depth of field too.
the sepia version looks a little more dreamy.

Great portrait chris.. The Sepia one grabs me and holds my attention with it's tones more than the color one.

If you couldn't see those eyes under her glasses, I'd swear she was (unwittingly) smiling for you! Great candid Chris.

Ooops...make that fifth the motion....
Guest 06-Jul-2005 06:41
'Eh Bhai! ;-) Well, I thought I'd try and go against the grain here. But after looking at both a few times, I find that I fourth the motion on this one..the sepia treatment is spot on...suits the image perfectly! Great candid.
Guest 06-Jul-2005 04:42
Ooooh, I believe I love the sepia image!
Guest 06-Jul-2005 03:57
Love the 2nd image, so much focus on your subject, rather than the colourful surroundings! :)
Linda Willets06-Jul-2005 03:53
I agree the sepia one has more life to it.
jude06-Jul-2005 02:49
I have to say the sepia one does it for me a bit more.. the monochrome shows more of her ... sweet ness.. Nice candid shot...
