20050610 / California Mathematics

Marina State Beach, CA

(AM) + (NLT) = (NWF)
Morning + Negative Low Tide = No Working on Friday

A little slide and glide Solo surf session with Trent Reznor, the
OGs and a sea otter down on the east side was just the ticket. Back in
Marina, I did a little recon for tomorrow's session. The equation?

(MSB) = (DNC)

Very nice! I like the light and mood here! I agree on the amount of noise, very nice!
Guest 15-Jun-2005 21:48
Great mood! Well done!

Very nice - love the amount of noise!

MSB = DNC equates to Marina State Beach = Does Not Compute.
Waves were real squirrely and unpredictable.

Pistons in six is looking like a harder bet to hold onto, but I've committed and I'll stick to it. If LB can adjust at home and even it up 2-2, anything is possible.
JeremyGood13-Jun-2005 17:17
HEY you never explained your second equation.
You still think Pistons in 6?
Guest 13-Jun-2005 04:42
Very nice, Chris. The grain you chose in post-processing makes you become part of the sand.
Guest 13-Jun-2005 00:04
The texture of that sand bites.I can almost pick out every grain.Serious shades and shadows contrast perfect with the sunburn surf.Powerful!

Dang.. it's been said.. Great depth, lighting & contrast here... now.. about that smile.

Another strong SP Chris, not sure what the post processing is on the image but I like it
Chris Sofopoulos11-Jun-2005 22:08

Cool treatment on this shot!
nomadicdragon11-Jun-2005 15:15
great shot.. lovely the dark tones...
Susanne11-Jun-2005 13:36
I like the very dark toning in this image Chris. The water being much lighter creates a wonderful contrast to the foreground. I am good at math, but my equation ends up this weekend all the same...sleep, sleep, sleep lol.
Guest 11-Jun-2005 10:48
what's not to like about this shot..v
Jackdad11-Jun-2005 06:18
nice, moody SP with the waves crashing in the background.
Guest 11-Jun-2005 05:51
you look like a serious guy chris!
JeremyGood11-Jun-2005 05:08
Great toning. I love the white of the water.
Pepe Zyman11-Jun-2005 04:26
Nice candid.

I got the MSB but I need some time for the DNC. I'll get back to you after a TRB and a stop by the B@A in San Jo..
jude11-Jun-2005 04:03
Nice and thoughtful here.. but how could you not be with that sound directly behind you.. I could sit for hours in another world listening to it.

I was always bad at math. but then, maybe it was just the teachers?
Guest 11-Jun-2005 03:32
I thought that was a guitar propped up behind you. It would be fitting because the shot looks rather bluesy? My friend is stuck in San Jo........and I'm sittin' on the shore.
