Challenge "one year older and wiser"

Sun King, a hybrid tea rose

Comparing photos of roses with December 2005 to see if I've improved
I hope I have, after all the very kind help given to me by my pbase friends
and my acquisition and self education with a Tamron lens
Here's one from last year to compare with, not the same rose, but it
has some yellow tonings.

i find flowers as subjects can so so subjective. i would have prefered more dof but this could easily work as well. :)
