"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk roses and with eglantine..."
from A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Featuring today roses starting with an "E"
This tiny little rosehip belongs to a species rose often referred to as "the briar rose"
which through time has been developed into the modern rose we know today
like the one I featured on the other February Challenge
and one from my archives I rediscovered yesterday - also starting with an "E" - that fits with this theme rather well
