Lancashire Hot Pot - 10

Dick cooked this slowly in the crockpot. Served to daughter #3 and
her two kids (and can they EAT!) You could serve this with mashed spud
or dumplings, but they had it with toast and greens (beans & salad).

They finished off the meal with that apple crumble, there was just
enough for a serve each with custard. Got to fill those growing kids eh!

I'm impressed by Dick's culinary skills. I'm nowhere near in his league.
very appetizing shot of the hotpot.

Oh, that looks like a wonderful stew. I want a dish but I guess it's gone now, huh?

Speaking as a Lancashire native I can vouch that this looks very authentic. I still get it regularly during the winter, and with a pudding of apple crumble and custard I think I'd be in heaven.

Looks like it would go great with a big scoop of mashed potatoes!

Coming from Lancashire I had this a lot! Mashed potatoes for me, not toast.
