We were coming down this hill yesterday morning when I spied these 2 ponds with the lake in the distance. The ponds reminded me of a childhood treat. I used to love to go to the dump with my "Pop" (paternal grandpa). I know this sounds weird, but there were 3 reasons that I loved it; 1. I loved to watch the bears at the dump, 2. We would stop at a pond fed by an Artesian spring on the way there to watch dragonflies (I was the only 1st grader that could tell my teacher what an artesian spring was and how it was made), and 3. Pop would take me to Foster's Freeze for a soft cone when we got back to town. This was a weekly hog-heaven trip for an 6-9 year old.
