UTAH

You ever have one of those days where you feel that nothing is going your way. That is today! So I made a little jumble of pictures that I tried to take today.
Starting off top left, just some man made water fall I thought looked cool the way the water was coming down, nothing to exciting there.
Next a bottle with my secret weapon for fishing on it. Tried to get some cool lighting effect going on, that didn't happen.
I was driving home this evening and saw this baby calf which looked like it was stuck in a tree. It was ok, just having some fun I guess. But again the sun had just gone down and this was more of a snapshot then anything.
Minutes before the sun went down I caught this hawk sitting in a tree, well it is flying now, but a tad to far even for the 400mm to get a decent shot at it.
Bottom left, a gold eagle flying away from a carcas it and one other were feeding on. I drove by and saw them, turned around to go back and then I had a truck riding my butt! No time to get anything good cause they flew away!
A little snow up in the mountains, right at the end of the road maintainence out in the middle of nowwhere.
Ah, the eagles dinner, until I disturbed them. But again this picture is sort of disturbing I guess.
And finally up in the Uinta Mountains. There was some color, but lots of snow and cold weather too.
Anyway, until next time.

It was still fun to get out, I drove about 200 miles, which was fun. The dead deer I think came out the best and it is pretty gross, so I didn't want to make that as my only picture for today. Some people might get freaked out. There are dear all over the place here on the side of the road. But I don't see them like this very often. Still it was a productive day.

You actually had quite a productive day . .the two flying bird shots are good all by themselves. The calf shot has humor, the last landscape one is good too. But I have to agree with CJ, that 'dinner' shot is the most compelling. It's not something you run across every day (well, maybe you do . . ) A closer crop & some adjustments . .there's your picutre! You have quite a camera playground.

The eagle's dinner -- the image is right there. So what if the birds flew away. Look at the image itself... the head of a recognizable animal laying in front of a skeleton of a body. You just don't see that everyday (or at least I don't). That's an interesting image! So if nothing else, take that one picture, crop it so that it's just head and
body (or what's remaining of body), and there's your image. It is graphic? Well yeah. But it's the reality of nature and not all of nature is a pretty bambi shot. So it seems to
me you do have something today.
