Did you think I wasn't ever going to post more waterfall pictures?? Not likely - it's in my blood and I was in need of a fix. So I called Bernie to see what he had been into and sure enough, he had some new stuff up his sleeves. Harry and I met him and we headed over to the Maidenhair Falls area. Jim Bob Tinsley's book lists a Phillips Falls on Phillips Creek which flows into the creek Maiden Hair is on - Hogsed Creek. A few weeks back, SCJack and Andy had done some exploring above Maiden Hair and had posted pictures some of the waterfalls above it, but Bernie found a way in from above that led to Phillips Falls kind of directly. Some of it crosses private property farther up Becky Mountain Rd so I won't post precise directions, but if you are good with a GPS and can follow old logging roads you might be able to find that way. Otherwise, you can come in from below to Maiden Hair, then bushwhack up creek. This is Phillips Falls, the first stop on our adventure.
