I hadn't been on the Daniel Ridge Trail in a couple of years at least, so that was my choice for today's hike. It's a 4 mile loop with some nice scenery. The trail head is on FR475 past the fish hatchery and the Cove Creek group camp area. The first part of the trail follows the Davidson River and offers up some small cascades and warmer weather swimming holes.
