May 12: Abandoned

Yesterday's Polaroid artefact, abandoned on the bare concrete floor of our half built living room. I'm fascinated by lost photographs. Todd's 'new' twin lens reflex contained a half exposed roll of film. Cheryl recently pointed me at an online gallery of 'found' Polaroids. What would happen to this if I left this on the floor to be carpeted over?

An intriguing idea... sort of like a workman leaving something in the wall during construction... It could be a bit like a time capsule. But what would people think when they found your artifact later? Would it even survive without some sort of envelope or protection? Should you put some sort of identifier with the polaroid? Worse yet, would anyone actually find it or would they just bulldoze the whole thing? Perhaps it's different over there, but over here I think people are to quick to replace the old with the new... sadly, something like this might be overlooked...

Very nice... I feel ashamed having failed to keep up with my PAD whilst I've been doing all the renovations on our house ... (but I'm doing all the work myself, plus I've been without home internet access for nigh on 13 weeks!!!)

Your Lounge will soon be complete no doubt and Rosie can get used to a new brand of 'normal' layout eh? ..

I think future archeologists will be totally confused when they dig up the vast array of cameras and media!

Just think... centuries from now some archeologist digging at your site would find the image and think you were a buried King who had been flattened.
