Jan 30: Cellular

Are my abstracts getting a bit too, er, abstract? This could absolutey anything. Alien eggs I found in an empty bucket? Microscopic view of some sort of genetically modified bio-structure? Part of my ongoing experimentation with dinosaur DNA?

No. It's Mad Maureen's marbles. She lost them, obviously. Linda found them in the veg patch. Add water, food colouring and bake in the freezer until it's solid enough to hold infront of a flash. Shoot quickly before it all melts...

We used to put marbles into the oven, get them good and hot, then throw them into cold water. They would all crackly and make even the plainest marble look beautiful. I just love marbles. Sigh.

You're having too much fun freezing things. Next challenge: encase your camera in protective plastic wrap, submerge in water, freeze, then take a picture from INSIDE the ice. And don't send me the bill for a new camera!

They remind me of Photoshopped tennis balls on a Christmas tree...
