I don't think we (as a nation) get this new year thing right. Have a few drinks, then 2 hours to go, some more drinks, an hour do go, cheers, 10 minutes, glug, 10 seconds, 9, 8 ,7... 3, 2, 1 yaaaaay!!! Better have a drink! Then everybody sings a song with unfathomable lyrics and wakes up with a hangover. Way to start the new year Dud!

I'd rather see the new year in with a quick midnight snack, then off to bed and up early to watch the sun rise from the top of a nearby hill. Sadly I'd have to do that alone, as the drinking seems to be a more popular option.

So, somewhere near the top of a local hill, some 2 hours after sunrise, complete with hangover. Please don't expect great art on Jan 1st.
