Jan 23: Nostalgia

I’ve been meaning to put a gallery of pictures of my old VW for some time. I spent most of this morning sorting through photos, scanning, editing and putting the comments onto a new gallery. Take a look here. Fellow VW nut Slimboyfat posted the link to it on a VW forum and the next thing I know, I get a call from someone from the VWDRC (VW Drag Race Club) who’s putting together a ‘where are they now feature’ for the club’s news letter and we’re talking of racing the Lurker...

The trophies? Volksfest ‘91 Street Class Runner Up and Volksworld Summer Nationals ‘92 Street Class Runner Up. Consistent huh?

Just wonderful. I get very attached to cars - I know that they are really just metal and rubber but when it comes to the point when the car has to go I lose all sense of reality!!
