Mar 19: The Scream

Agggghhhhh!!! It's a daffodil. Yes I finally gave in and did one. So here's the story. It's been raining all day. The wind's been gusting at 60mph or so. Another 1/30 f2.0 at iso 800 sort of day. Then mid afternoon, the rain stopped, the wind stopped, and the sun almost, but not quite, came out. Fantastic. So, out into the garden to see what there was to inspire me. First thoughts were the chickens, who were following me around. But they were always just to close to get the composition right. Try running. I ran up the garden, turned around to see all four chickens had run with me and were still too close. "Stupid chickens" I said. Sherri pecked me on the leg. They're smarter than you'd think, these chickens.

So what to do. I heard on the radio that it's 200 years today since a certain poet wrote a certain poem about those damn daffodils. Oh well, I've got an excuse. A daffodil it is. But, would Sherri leave me alone? Of course not. Like a teenager behind a news reporter, she just wouldn't get out of shot. So here she is. Loitering in the background of obligatory daff shot.

So Ducks next is it Ron?

Next thing you know, you'll be shooting mallards...

Me too, Anna . . . I thought he meant the Daff was screaming. It sort of looks like it doesn't it! And I HAD to laff at the mental picture of David RUNNING up a path closely followed by lots of little legs wondering what the bloomin' h### is he doing???

It looks like if you'd just swung a bit to the right, Sherri would have had her rock star portrait. : ) LOVE the background.

Oh I thought it was the daffodil screaming. This shot reminds me of Easter. Nice.

Excellent!! Sherri absolutely makes this one a winner, and separates it from a typical flower photo. LOVE the colors and the DOF is great. FUNNY story! Laughed quite a bit :)

Yep - Sherri does make it - it's her all over! She's a great garden companion

Sherri makes this picture. Without her it's just a daff shot. Yawn. I was quite surprised to see a daffodil in your PAD today. But I understood when I read the title.
