I cut open this mini watermelon today, and was surprised at how thin the skin was - pleased, because I wondered what was the point of buying one of these mini melons, as if they had a thick skin like the huge watermelons do, there would be hardly any fruit inside, but obviously the plant breeders have done their work and the skins are very thin so there is a lot of fruit inside, which is very sweet, juicy and delicious!
