Typical of this hilly inner-city neighbourhood, this is an Art Nouveau-styled timber Queenslander family home, circa 1913. The characteristic design features include adaptations to the subtropical climate such as positioning high on stilts and wide verandahs and decks. Decorative features include elaborate timber fretwork, multicoloured leadlight glass, and a two-tone exterior paint scheme using cool colours such as white and charcoal grey.
