Galen's View

Yosemite National Park

This is a great example of what I learned this weekend - I was walking without vision and Dave Wyman suggested to go to Galen Clark's gravesite and look up. Galen Clark was the first guardian of the Yosemite Valley. Mr. Clark requested that four Sequoia trees be planted squaring off his gravesite, and another was spawned somewhere along the way. The cemetary is very near the heart of the Yosemite Valley visitor area, but gets almost no traffic because it is a little off the beaten path. What could any of us possibly hope for but to lay in our grave gazing at the heavens through a window like this.
