Saar River, Germany

Loop of the Saar River by Mettlach. Misty Day with a View of the "Saar Loop". Winding Saar Loop (Saarschleife) seen from the Cloef View Point!
The river Saar is making a 10 km detour out of the short distance 2 km from Besseringen to Mettlach.).

Super view of this famous well-photographed spot. I have never, before today, been able to pinpoint where it is, and am amazed to find out it is near to area we have often driven through...... in fact we stayed for a few days in Saarburg!
