March 4th - Kern River

We took a drive on the far side of the river this morning.
I stopped for a few pictures.
I tried this shot with the Polaroid 420 Land Camera but they didn't turn out.
The film may have been cooler than I thought.
Maybe there was some light leakage that I hadn't noticed before.
I'm not sure what the cause was, yet, but after three shots I gave up and grabbed the DSLR.
I may scan the shots later and put them up in a Polaroid gallery.
Perhaps someone will recognize the symptoms...

I read somewhere that you can err quite a bit on the long side of the development. The guy showed examples of properly timed development next to similar shots that had been left a hour or more. There was iittle if any difference. I don't know if that's just 669 colour film or Polarid in general. You can do the testing... it's $2 a shot over here!

yea the "post processing" on the land cam is tough...I have wasted about 8 dollars to get ONE shot sometimes...

(meaning I screw up 8 pics)

The temp on the color film is printed, meaning the temp/develop time, but on the black and white you are on your own! Makes it tough....

Then I also get distracted COUNTING the seconds...I need a watch with a second hand!
