I spent the morning painting in the living room.
We're in the middle of reworking the room, getting rid of our mismatched furniture
(from the time before our relationship) and making room for new pieces and color.

I like the process of painting, it's almost ritual-like.
The tools, the steps of preparation, the cutting in and rolling on.
When done right, it can be a contemplative task.
