January 15th - Rust

The fog finally lifted this afternoon, so I made my way outside to the yards to look around. I took my camera with me,
enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine and the pleasant color of the blue skies. I wandered around, looking at all the work
we had done earlier in the week. We had a crew come in to trim a few trees, remove a couple of palms, a pine and the
resultant stumps. We also had a huge swath cut out of the backyard ivy. We're hoping to wrestle control back from that
green demon. As I wandered around I got a chance to see the backyard in the afternoon daylight for the first time in quite
a few weeks. With all the rain, and then fog, most days have been cold, wet and dreary. Today was nice.

Here are a few other things I saw today in the back yard.

I'm surprised to see rust in California! There are some places over here (especially near the sea) where anything metal disolves before your eyes.)
