October 3rd - Summer Continues

I noticed that a few of the PAD-ers around the world are already into their fall and anticipating winter. Some are suffering
from rainstorms and showers aplenty, some looking at snow in a month or so, others have the fall colors all a blaze...
Not so here. The temps have tapered off some, but it's still warm out side. We're in the low 90's, we're inside with the A/C
on staying cool. But the mornings and late evenings have been more seasonable and cool, allowing us to open up the house.
We still have green everywhere, with the exception of just a touch of fall creeping in around the edges, ever so slightly, ever so gently.

I wait. And wait. I love fall and look forward to it all year long. The crisp mornings, the orange and red hues, the sound of leaves crunching under feet, the late afternoon light dancing golden on the day, the sound of little voices on the approachat Halloween.
I soak it up. The sounds and sights, they feed my soul. I want to capture the moment and stand in it, frozen in time...

And yet, it taunts me. Always slow to arrive here, always elusive and short lived. How I envy some of you and the longer fall season!

Todd, this is a great photo. Love the line created by the fence and the rust, white and green contrasts. I knew it was still summer and I'm not letting the fall colors fool me!

I have to agree with northstar given that here in Yorkshire, UK, we have had about ten
days of grey, overcast weather with no sight of the sun! Or so it feels...
Nice pic with the climbing plant. Good luck with bandages off tomorrow!

'still summer' sounds good though!
