24 - Peace on Earth

Superimposed on this image is the photo of "Calm" that I posted on the first of this month.
This morning, less than 100 yards (or meters) to the left of where I photographed the calm of Irondequoit Bay,
a madman set a house on fire and then shot the firefighters who responded in a deranged ambush.
Seven houses eventually burned to the ground. Two firefighters killed, three hospitalized.

I saw this on the news. How sad. We really need to look at the state of mental health in this country. Too many crazy people. I do like your layered photo.

Love the feel of this one. Quite peaceful. I heard about the gunman. So sad and I just don't understand why people continue to hurt each other.

I heard about this terrible crime on our news. It should be the last straw in the gun debate.

A sad sad meaningless loss of life but all too common these days. I hope the new year brings some sanity to the world.
