earth IV

Black Diamonds!
A bucket full of coal for my steam engine!

When I took this photo and posted it,
I had not yet heard the news of the terrible disaster in
New Zealand that took the lives of 29 miners. As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day here
in the USA, our hearts go out to the families of these miners.

Time to fill up the Christmas stockings with coal!
Such a terrible tragedy down under. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those affected by the mining disaster.

It's an interesting series Tim. Nice small lumps of coal too
Here in NZ we have just lost 29 men in a coal-mining disaster... Our country is in mourning.

And, I'm betting works well. It would take a long time for them to finally become diamonds. Cool!
