These guys are fairly common here this time of year. They are a sparrow relative.

Ditto what Terry and Bob said. These little birds (at least for me) are very challenging to photography because it seems like they never hold still. You got this guy at just the right moment!

Cute little guys. The background is just fine....nice detail
on the bird, particularly considering the crop size.
