Shiloh, Tennessee

Monument to Tennessee's fallen at Shiloh, the newest major monument in the park.
Today, just before sunset.
I stabilized the 300 on a marker sign about 75 yards away...

I thought for sure you used a tripod, but your method worked equally well! This image is very crisp, and your aperture selection was just right. Nice job, Michael!

Superb book...
Thanks, Bob and Cindy.
I saw this shot in my mind before I aimed.
Just cropped a little and adjusted contrast.

Very striking shot... I was reading The Red Badge of Courage
a while back. This reminds me that I have to get back to it.

The fall leaves make a spectacular backdrop for the wonderful monument. This is one of your best from the Shiloh series. Your temp mount made a good base for your tele, because you got a very sharp shot.
