Calling His Mate

Shiloh, Tennessee

The male eagle lets his mate know he's going for take-out.
And a good thing: hatchling number 2 arrived EARLY, and is doing well.
Now the WORK starts...

Canon EOS 60D ,Canon 300/4.0 IS USM with Canon EF Extender
1/800s f/9.0 at 420.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You guys are so kind...thank you.
Terry this is a hand held shot from about 60 feet from the tree where he was roosting.
He was in the highest branch of a hickory tree, about 65 feet off the ground.
My spot I like when he is in this tree (he likes to sit here, I think, because he can see the nest) is off to his right at the base of an oak tree. As you can tell, there's nothing between us at that point.
