Only way I can get close enough to these animals is without a tripod, Jim.
This was just before dark, as the shutter speed suggests.
I held this by hand...

Michael, congrats on the new camera and fantastic lens! For this shot, did you use a tripod? The eyes look a bit soft, perhaps due to camera shake. I love the eye contact with this doe, it helps make a strong connection between the animal and the viewer.
