These women, two Red Dao and a Black Hmong, accompanied us, without being asked, as our guide led us on a tour of the villages. The younger women offered a lot of friendly information,
in fairly good English, about what we were seeing as we walked ... with the hope that we would appreciate their company and offer them a payment in return.
