Good concept, Suzy -- the massive crowd watching the gondolas pass below it creates an incongruous relationship. (If you had used your burst shooting mode, you might have gotten one where there was separation between the head of the gondolier and the arch of the bridge. That would have added much tension to the image.) I like the way you use the famous Bridge of Sighs as context instead of as subject -- the real subject here is the crowd watching the approach of the gondolas. It is a good example of how to make crowds of tourists, which we usually try to keep out of our pictures, into subjects of meaning.
