Another shot from the Cascades in Washington this past week. From a slightly different location than the last shot. The pine trees are actually just the tops of relatively close trees that extend above the sight-line of a distant ridge. If you look closely at the silhouette of the ridge, you can see tiny trees on it too, just far, far way. The impression this photo gives is of a couple of lone pines on a barren slope. Not accurate, but the overall effect is pleasing. This is a 3 minute exposure.
