Black...always a good choice*
by Fatih

This is part of the shadow of a metal fence created by the harsh noon light on the pavement. I converted it to B&W and added some noise. The title is a reference to the movie "This is Spinal Tap". I somehow relate this image to their "Black" album ;)

Quite a striking image! I love the repeated pattern against the textured pavement, and the use of B&W complemented by the black frame make it oustanding. Helen

Fatih, I love how the shadow pattern here is cast onto the pavement....the high contrast and repeating design element are very eye-catching. I like the design pattern of the pavement itself too...nice sense of texture and a great complement to the shadowcast. Neat how the two patterns cross in opposite diagonals. Your framing really ties everything together....I think black was a good choice too :) Good idea, Fatih...nice photo. MFC
