Lookout
by jrdu

If you don't mind climbing a thousand steps up the mountain and then a thousand steps back down, steps that you will have to retread to get back to half way up the mountain from where I took this shot, this would be a nice spot for a picnic.
A fixed 135mm lens is the wrong thing to take up a mountain. All my shots are of details, none show the grand setting of the Great Wall and the mountains.

John, the B&W certainly adds to the minimalistic quality of this scene. Nice capture.---deb

John, I like how the land meets the sky along a diagonal, each part nearly equal in size/shape... & both halves pretty simple and uncluttered. It makes a nice canvas to place your subject of interest on. The lookout fits well into the scene... and on a pleasing scale. I love the clear architectural details & how well they contrast against the blank sky here. Nice perspective too...nice photo. MFC
