Using Live View of my 1DMk3 and connect the Video Out to my big TV allowed me to shoot my own hand and the golf ball without any assistance. The lighting angle, camera angle and the relative placement of my hand and the golf ball are important in this shot. Live View makes doing a shot like this relatively painless. An excellent example of what-you-see-is-what-you-get.
