The cylinder head had not been resurfaced in the past, and it checked out as being FLAT.

I did my smoothing and blending on the intake and exhaust ports, and replaced the turbo sodium filled exhaust valves with NA valves.

I lapped the deck surface to get it nice and smooth because I was going to be installing a Cometic MLS [multi layer steel] head gasket.
