the modified LH 2.2 distributor

This tec3 system will be set up as a sequential injection system.

To do so requires the use of a "cam" sensor. Actually that means that the computer needs to know where #1 cylinder is; or more correctly: which one is #1. A "cam" sensor tells the computer which one #1 is.

By using a LH 2.2 distributor equipped with a hall sensor, that identifying signal can be generated and sent to the computer.

Three of the four vanes have to be removed; leaving a single vane to generate the rising voltage signal for the computer to know that #1 is coming up to TDC for the power stroke.

This pic shows the single vane inside the hall sensor.

This pic shows just how the distributor needs to be installed, and the vane positioned in the hall sensor when the crankshaft and camshaft are timed at TDC for #1 cylinder.

With the vane "timed" like this, the computer will receive its rising voltage signal for #1 cylinder in the window of 90 degrees to 6 degrees BTDC for #1 cylinder.
