Aglaoctenus castaneus (Lycosidae: Sosippinae)

Yasuní National Park, Prov. Orellana, Ecuador

Aglaoctenus are primitive wolf spiders that spin funnel webs, much as Agelenids do. The prey is a snout moth (Palpita sp.).
