Pasochoa Forest Reserve (2011)

The Pasochoa Forest Reserve is situated on a collapsed volcanic crater near Hacienda La Granja in northwestern Ecuador. A narrow, rugged mountain road is the only route into the wildlife refuge, which at more than 2,800 m above sea level is higher than the Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve. As in the latter locality, such a habitat supports diverse fauna and flora, much of which is unique to this part of the Andes.
