The numbers of birds here at Bosque are incredible. At night the Sand Hill Cranes and Snow Geese return from the fields where they have been feeding all day and at first light they are off again...all at once, in a breathtaking and incredible launch.
I waited until most had flown by in order to capture the color of the dawn along with the departing snow geese.
If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend that you witness this in person!
