I think I like this one of the two better.. Not to say there´s anything wrong in previous day´s picture! Both have stunning moody lighting. Well done!
Susanne20-Jun-2005 05:31
I like the red glow on your face, wonderful.
Guest 20-Jun-2005 04:26
Orange or reddish light always add to a person's face :)

I do like yesterday's better-the hidden light is/was so mysterious-sometimes less is more. Glad you showed both Chris, both images have great merit.

Guest 18-Jun-2005 06:34
Wow im loving this!
Di18-Jun-2005 03:40
While both images are superb, I prefer yesterday's because the light source is hidden. Makes the image somehow more interesting. Have a wonderful weekend!
Guest 18-Jun-2005 03:39
this one is more expressive ;-)
excellent

Hmmmm, this is beautiful, but I believe I like the other better, as well. This explains the light source, true, but I rather agree with northstar and I also think perhaps this pulls too much attention to the candle, and away from her face. I also like it better that you flipped the image....I actually saved it and opened in an editing program so I could look at it both ways and I think you made the right choice.

I like the original as much or more than the crop. Excellent frame of reference to have the candle in the shot.

I like the one yesterday a bit better, you don't know the source of the light. Adds a bit of mystery.

I like this one.

Both are very beautiful (they also remind me of Georges de La Tour, of course, because of the light).
Wonderful portraits. Raffinés!
I voted!
