Mooney Falls : Week 8

Supai resveravion Grand Canyon

Falling over Mooney Falls is what I think of on this photograph.

I really like this panoramic. And so do most people after looking at it a couple times. I think this is because it is somewhat unsettling. The perspective of this shot is looking straight down a 200 foot fall and to death. When printed big, it really draws you into the image and forces you to feel the height.

The other thing I like about this particular shot is the use of only three colors of light. Red, Blue and Green. When mixed they form the composite of white.

"You are well known for going to great extends, to capture a scene that you really like. "

Thanks for the kind words, but well known. Someday perhaps but for now I am a simple hack:-) This was my favorite shot of the falls that I came back with. It was also nerve racking to one of the people I was with at the time. He has a slight fear of heights.

Steven, this shot is just breathtaking. You are well known for going to great extends, to capture a scene that you really like. This image is a fine example. I can't really imagine how close you were standing to the edge of the cliff for this capture. And I awe at your skills to capture panaromic shots.
