B33 The HorseHead Nebula

Anza, CA

This is a test exposure of the Horsehead Nebula. This is also a first light for a QSI 50wsi camera. It was a test as I was getting the new(used) mount polar aligned. This is made from 4 exposures, 2- 15 minute and 2 - 30 minute exposures using an H-alpha narrowband filter. This was also taken with an almost full moon. It was test of the tracking and polar alignment and also to take an image with the new camera. Taken using a Vixen VC200L, 1800mm f9 scope, on a AP1200GTO mount. Guiding was through a Borg 60mm, 350mm focal length guide scope using a Fishcamp Starfish camera for guiding. Captured with MaximDL and processed in CCDstack.
