This is a 22 panel mosaic of the full moon. Each panel is made from a stack of 10-50 images to help bring out detail and average seeing conditions. The panels were then assembled in MaximDL, there are a couple of slight misalignments because of data from two different passes at imaging the moon. Overall it took over 3 hours to gather the data and then several hours to process and evaluate then several more to put the puzzle together. Taken with a Vixen VC200L 8" 1800mm f9 cassegrain telescope and a Meade DSI Pro II with an Astronomik H-alpha filter. On a Losmandy G-11 on my deck in Laguna Beach, not the greatest location for imaging.
