NEEDS IRONING

Am I the only person who cracks up at the sight of a basset hound?
That these dogs compete in anything is amazing to me and that they are
successful is truly something. I look at them and always think they look like they
need to be ironed.

I sure wished I'd had my sidekick from yesterday with me but alas she opted
to stay home and play with hot lights and pretty flowers. Can't say as I blame her.
I am starting to question whether I have the temperment for the show photos.
Today was tremendously busy and of course I love all the dogs but it really
isn't all that creative.

Okay, here's a little amusing snippet... When I set up my "studio" and photograph
under the lights, I always work shoeless. I really don't give it a moment's thought. One of the first things I do
is kick off my shoes so I don't get the backdrops dirty as I walk across them. You'd be amazed how many
people comment on it. Here's an example of how focused (no pun intended) I am when I am
behind the camera... early in the day today I tripped and careened into something. It wasn't
until late in the day when I was packing up that I noticed an odd pain in my foot. I just looked down
and noticed my toe is all swollen and blue and most likely broken.

LOL @ Herb. I am charmed by this image too. What a hoot to see a proud owner beaming with these two fellas sitting there looking what? Curious. The one on the left is m favorite.
I never wear shoes either (inside the house)... but my business clients insist I am shod when working with them. Hope your toe heals. If people ask about that funny bump in the future, you can just tell them you had tolio as a child. Cheers ;-)

No, you're not the only one who LOL at these guys-how much more loveable can they be? Their eyes can melt ice.
You are eminently suited to do these shows-you relate to both the dogs and their people in extraordinary ways. Not an easy task since one of the above doesn't understand English. (The dogs, of course :). You work with a great bunch, and I know they all appreciate the care and perfection you put into your work. I should've made the trek today, too. It would have been more productive. And maybe we could have both broken our toes, lol. Take care of it!

Poor toe! I just knew you were going to say you stepped in doggy-doo.

You must be exhausted. This photo shows you made one owner very happy. I'll bet there's many more.
