Wanda's Hooters 06_20_06.jpg

These young Great Horned owls live in the foothills just east of our house. I thought they would be good practice for Me. My nephew Wes came with just to make sure we actually got some good shots! One thing I can say is that I hate Bill's tripod and I will forgive him when he decides to splurge and go for a nicer one. What's it called, a "whimberly" head? Whatever, I just know I don't like the one we have! I wasted more time messing with it and never could get the camera lined up just the way I wanted it. Good thing I have Bill to do My post processing. (grin)

The owl has that look and expression that a caption would read "Wanda what are you doing, come on take the picture".

A sick, twisted, dirty-minded person would make a comment like "that's a nice pair of hooters you have there, Wanda". But I'm not that kind of guy. :-)

Congratulations on a nice shot, Wanda. I especially like the contrast between the two owls, both the lighting contrast and the difference in DOF.

Bill, a good husband who is sensitive to his wife's needs would buy her a new tripod and Gimbal head!

Regards,

Glenn

Like Wanda said, I guess you will have to start selling stuff hehe

How come I have the feeling I will need to buy a new tripod and two Wimberley Gimbal heads???

I believe I am off at 6 again, so I am all for it!

Working sucks! While I was slaving away at Cabelas; Wanda and Wes were having fun photographing fledgling great horned owls.

Wes, I have Friday off and may have that evening free to go back and photograph the owls.

Wanda you did good! Your DOF was better then mine. Look at that little guy in the spotlight! Yep we need to go back.
