Having A Bad Day04_04_05.jpg

Not me, I had a great day. I spent the afternoon at the movies watching an interesting film "Sin City". Visually it was fantastic. I still haven't decided on the story yet. But if you get a chance to see it you will know that I ripped them off. Or, maybe I'm looking for a bit part if they make a sequel. I can do "evil bastard killer".

Bill, I liked the gritty feel of this image from the time you posted it. I saw Sin City over the weekend (I loved it but it is definitely not fo everyone) and I think you pulled the look off very well. You look a bit like the "Jackie Boy" character that Benicio del Toro played. Steve

My 73 is a Italian also from Cabellas but I got it in 44/40. Such a pain to reload I should have gotten it in 45.

I have a current generation in nickel with my SASS # as the serial number. It is from the Colt Custom Shop and I could not wait to shoot it. I agree on guns in boxes. Seems a waste although I realize if we keep them for a hundred years or so without shooting they will be worth something.

John, the 73 is an Italian replica in .45 Colt I picked up to match the old 2nd generation Colt which has been my "shooter" for years. I guess I should have left the Colt in the box and never fired it; but, that would be such a waste on a different level.

The horrible bullet quote was a tad tongue in cheek. As a Life member of NRA and SASS I tend to be a little pro gun. The 343 in my name is my SASS number. Pray tell is that 73 in 44/40. I have a replica 73 in 44/40. I remember the picture of your TV room and the items hanging on the wall.

By the way thanks for you help. I finally figured how to put the little picture links below the main picture by looking at your source code on you underwater watch picture.

John, I used what I had around. I don't believe in "horrible bullets" they all have their place. I use flat nose because I have a model 73 Winchester in the same chambering. Hollow points won't load smoothly in the Winchester and round nose aren't safe in a lever actions tubular magazine. The flat nose work well in both.

I am assuming you were using a remote to trigger the shutter. I just noted that you were loaded with wad cutters and thought hollow points might be interesting. But then we probably don't want to display a horrible bullet like that. Now you have gone and made me get out the old peacemaker for a cowboy picture.

Golly gee Johns, I didn't really want to kill the camera. Of course when you punch a half inch hole completely through something knock down power doesn't much matter.
