When I bought this purple outfit I had never heard of the Red Hat society. Then one day a woman from our Miata Club shared the poem with us when she invited all the ladies out for a "ladies only drive". We were to all wear purple and red if possible. I missed that drive and always regretted it. But now that I have a red hat AND a purple outfit, I am ready for the next ladies only drive!(grin)

I think Wanda is too young for the Red Hat Society. I can just see those old hens giving her the jealous look of lost youth now.

My ex-wife used to recite the poem to me often, … no doubt to excuse her behavior of spitting on sidewalks, … but Wanda certainly doesn’t look the old lady part. No doubt she’s simply practicing for the time that may come many years from now, … and strangely, the miss-matched purple and red looks quiet attractive on her. I would turn my head and look at her on the street, … but not if she spit.

Yeah, but Wanda isn't old yet. :-) (I've had that When I'm Old, I'll Wear Purple book for some time). Very nice photos. I like the hat.
