Wanda01_13_05.jpg

We are back from our trip to Southern Utah and Nevada. This was just a quick photo in my mother's backyard. We were just going for a little bit of a fashion ad type of photo.

We had a longggggg drive down south on the day this photo was taken. We were losing daylight fast and we had to do something quick! So, Bill had Me stand on a pile of rocks and try to pose "like one of them women in a clothing advertisement". (laffin) I don't think I will ever get the hang of this "fashion model" thing. Although I have to say, now and again it's nice to not have to look into the lens of the camera and smile.

This image shows off My "road trip" hair-do. It's also My "hiking-do". Long hair can be such a pain sometimes. When on a long road trip, if I leave it down, it just gets caught in the seat belt retractor evertime I get in and out of the car and the curl ends up all gone because My hair ends up trapped between Me and the back of the seat. I try to keep it pulled over one shoulder, but it almost always finds it way behing Me. And when I am hiking, well, it's just too damned hot to have hanging down My back and of course it gets tangled in My back pack every time I take it on and off.

I think this is my favourite type of Wanda picture. It just looks very natural and relaxed.

The background are the sheer red cliffs behind my mother's home in Southern Utah. These are the same cliffshttp://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/23605405

Bill, between you and Wanda, I don't think you could take a bad photo if you tried. If the sweater is the item for sale in the ad, I'll buy it. Question -- the background... studio backdrop, something outside, Photoshop? In any event, it make for a beautiful shot. What am I saying ... Wanda's what makes for the beautiful shot; the backdrop's a nice addition. :)
