Today we drove north to visit the grand kids and for me to do a little wildlife photography. We headed up the canyon to take elk pictures. The elk were kind of boring and the kids and Wanda's attention spans are pretty short. They found a little hill to slide on. Lack of sleds, tubes or tobaggons didn't stop them. They used the shell off Wanda's parka.
There is this shot and two more that I liked all for different reasons: the "photo a day" because it shows the anticipation and a little terror when starting down the hill.
This one because it shows some speed http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/38208578 and this one because both the boys were in it and it shows them having fun as they brake to a halt as the snow comes up around their feet http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/38208073
I have a series of three photos that show Wanda slamming into a bush while she goes down the hill head first on her back http://www.pbase.com/image/38229072 no harm was done to the model or the bush.
And last but by no means least, my favorite photo of the day. A baby female moose, up to her knees in a small pond, feeding on watercress http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/38206053
